Kingdom greetings,
I've been feverishly working on the next book God has given me. Today, He allowed me to take a short break to receive this for all of you.
What are you doing about the dirty water in your city?
2 Kings 2:19-22 KJV
19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, “Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.”
20 And he said, “Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein.” And they brought it to him.
21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, “Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.”
22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
The city was a beautiful, park-like setting, but the water was dirty and bad. The natural surroundings were gorgeous, but the water was bad. I dare say the spiritual water was bad. Does this sound like your city? Beautiful, but bad!
Let God ask you through me, “What are you doing about the dirty water in your city?” How many more miscarriages need to take place before you do something? When I speak of miscarriages here, I’m speaking literal (i.e., women losing babies) and spiritual (i.e., Godly ministries and visions being lost to the enemy). In both cases, the water is bad, and the water I speak of right now is only spiritual water.
In the passage of scripture, when they came to Elisha and told him the problem the city was having, immediately he asked for a new bowl filled with salt. Prophetic announcement: You are that new bowl! The question is: “Are you, the bowl, filled with salt?” Salt preserves, heals, and seals covenants. What are you preserving and healing? How many Godly covenants have you sealed with local ministries as a way to ensure they stay on the straight and narrow?
If you know you are a new bowl (2 Corinthians 5:17) filled with salt (Matthew 5:13-16, Mark 9:49-50, Colossians 4:6, Job 6:6), then take the salt and throw it in and on the water of your city. Then declare and decree, “The LORD, has healed these waters. They will no longer cause death or miscarriage.”
Lord, we thank you that as sure as we declare Your word, the waters in our cities shall be purified. We thank You for those who have come to realize their bowl is empty. Fill them up with Your salt. May their saltiness be evident and not lose its savor. We thank You for healing women who are miscarrying their babies. We thank You for You are life!
We thank You, Lord for all the Godly ministries that You are shoring up right now via salt covenants. We thank You they are being preserved from the enemy’s destruction. They will not die. These ministries will not be physically alive and spiritually dead. For You are life. Breathe life into them this day.
We thank You for Godly repentance is coming to them now enabling them to receive Your healing waters. Thank You LORD for purified waters in our city. May it never be said again that our cities’ natural surroundings are majestic, but the water is bad.

Why? Their oracle is speaking
Yesterday, we spoke about the “peoples” and the “they” of Psalm 33:10b-11 and how they devise their own thoughts and plans concerning you and the ministry God has assigned to you. We learned that what they think and plan has no power over us because God causes their plans and thoughts to be of no effect.
Continuing in this theme for further deliverance. Today, we answer the question many of you may have asked or are asking. Why? Why do they treat me like this? Why do they hate my righteous cause? I’ve been so good to them. I’ve supported the ministry God has given them. I’ve prayed countless hours for them to prosper. I thought they loved the Lord like me . . . why are they like this? Why? Why? Why?
Psalm 36:1 holds the answer:
“TRANSGRESSION [like an oracle] speaks to the wicked deep in his heart. There is no fear or dread of God before his eyes.”
See the prophetic ministry is a great threat to the kingdom of darkness. So he and his imps hurl accusations and javelins to wear us out and keep us out of God’s face. What are they really trying to stop . . . you? Oh no, the oracle of God within you. The word God has impregnated you with and the fire in your belly.
Now, what I’m amazed at is the very thing they are after is the very thing driving them. An oracle is speaking to them too, but it’s a counterfeit oracle. Remember, Satan is still bent on being like God. So while God is speaking to you, he is speaking to them. It’s the things he utters that drives them, and I don’t know about you, but it’s what God utters that drives me.
The oracle Satan has spoken causes them to transgress (meaning do something knowingly and purposely wrong against God). The oracle he speaks to them penetrates deep into their heart. They have entertained and even conjured up this false oracle for so long they no longer hesitate to act on what he’s speaking to them. They no longer despise or reject evil. Dare I say their conscience has been seared with a demonic iron, and their love has waxed cold. There is no fear or dread of God in them.
They believe lies like their father, the devil. They flatter themselves like their father, the devil. They are so deceived they even believe God doesn’t see them and that they won’t be found out. They are walking in ungodly wisdom and no longer in God’s wisdom. While you are sleeping, they lie in their bed planning the next act wrong against God and his anointed . . . you.
Now you know! Now you know their nature and what’s driving them . . . hence, the why is answered.
What does God say about all this? Three things:
1) I have javelins to draw out too (Psalm 35:3)
2) My mercy, loving-kindness, and faithfulness extends to the skies and clouds. My judgments are like the great deep. I preserve man and beast (Psalm 36:5-6). So, what should our posture be? As led, heap coals of fire on their head with acts of kindness. Rest in the fact that we don’t always comprehend God’s mercy, loving-kindness, faithfulness, or judgment, but He is acting on our behalf and on the behalf of what’s right and best for His children.
3) Soon God shall crust Satan under His feet (Romans 16:20). Selah on that the next time they transgress in your direction against God!
I pray that God will anoint your eyes with His eye salve that you may see them and these situations in the Spirit and in the way He sees them. I pray that God’s precious and steadfast love surround you like a blanket and become your refuge. I pray you learn to trust your God’s protection even the more. No one can do anything to you He doesn’t allow. I pray for His abundance to overtake you that you may relish and feast on heavenly food and that He cause you to drink and delight in His pleasures. For truly, He is your fountain of life. I pray for God to remove the foot of pride from you that you’ll be able to submit to His leading and resist the devil’s snares. I pray you’ll remain steadfast, unmoveable, unable to be shaken, and always abounding in the work God has assigned your hands. I declare the wicked shall never drive you away from your assignment, call, or ministry. I thank my God that according to His word, today the workers of iniquity will fall, they will be thrust down, and unable to rise against God and His anointed.

What plans do they have for you?
“The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of His heart through all generations. He makes the thoughts and plans of the peoples of no effect.” – Psalm 33:10b-11
If you have been in ministry for any amount of time, you have run into “the peoples” referred to in this scripture. “The peoples” are also the “they” that have all sorts of plans and thoughts –some good, some evil. The peoples seem to always have some counsel about the direction of your God-given vision/call.
The peoples can tell you what and what you are not anointed to do. They even tell you that you are not called to the office Jesus Himself appointed you to and gave you as a gift to His very own body. They withhold goodness when it is in their power to do good by you and the ministry God has assigned your hands.
The peoples hear God saying, “Bless _________ (put your name in the blank) with $500.” They have the money right in their checking or savings account, but they turn a deaf ear and refuse to obey God and give. They think nobody else knows they withheld resources with your name on it. As a matter of fact, God tells many of us that He spoke to them and told them to bless us. The peoples overlook you as God’s gift. They hate you, the gift, Jesus gave them. The peoples ignore you and the anointing of God on your life. They will choose any non-anointed, un-appointed person for a task except you . . . even though God spoke to them and called you by name for the task.
If it’s in their power to train, elevate, or impart some spiritual gift for the work of the ministry, they will shut up their bowels of compassion for the work of God and deny this opportunity to be used mightily by God to advance His Kingdom. They simply have their own thoughts and plans concerning you. In all their getting, they didn’t get a revelatory understanding of who you are to God! But here’s the good news:
God causes all their thoughts and plans to be of no effect!
He will still bless you with the financial resources for His work. He will simply send a willing vessel along your way. I’m not talking about one who is willing with their lips only, but with demonstration and action. This vessel isn’t jealous, competitive, or envious of the gift you are to Christ’s body. Why does God send along a willing vessel? Yes, of course, because He love us, but here’s the real reason:
His counsel stands forever!
God didn’t need to confer with “the peoples” to call, appoint, and send you as a gift to His body. He counsels with Himself, and His counsel is tried, true, and sure. Heaven and earth shall fade away, but God’s word will remain. What He counseled with Himself about you is written. It’s His word, and His word is enduring. His word is forever settled in heaven . . . and therefore in earth. It doesn’t matter what the peoples plan or think. Hallelujah . . . rejoice, equipped man/woman of God. Bask in His counsel, servant of the Most High God. You can lay back, snuggle up, and rest in His counsel.
Don’t fret yourself over what “they” say, think, do, plan. God is with you. He is for you . . .who can be against you? The peoples? No! “They?” No!
His counsel stands forever!
The counsel of the Lord stands forever! Rejoice and be exceedingly glad!
Lord, we thank you we don’t need to concern ourselves with the plans of the people. We thank You that you are sending wiling vessels our way. Vessels that are able and willing to fulfill Your counsel over and towards us. We thank You, Lord that they are in full agreement with what You have written in heaven. We thank you that they are able to see Your counsel and line up with it. Thank You for releasing us from the power of what the people think and plan. For truly, what they think and plan is of no effect anyway. Today, we give them no more power because through Your word You’ve sent today You have revealed and fully healed us from the false power we have given them over our God-given visions/calls.
Your word over us prevails. We line up the power of Your word and every word, plan, and thought they possess is broken up off us in Jesus’ name. We are free to rest, bask, and rejoice in Your everlasting counsel. The naysayer, unbeliever, non-pliable, non-moldable, can’t-be-stretched vessel has no authority over us or You. We declare and decree that You withhold no good thing that will propel us forward in our call forward. You are our Resource, oh Lord. For cattle on a thousand hills belongs to You. If You have need of something, it will be used by You. Just like the colt You untied for Your very own triumphal entry. Untie our colt(s) in the realm of the spirit this day that we may be graced to make the triumphant entry into the very place(s) You’ve preordained, planned, and counseled with no one about.
We thank You. We thank You and praise You. You are Baal-Pharez (Perez) . . . our God who creates a breach for us that we may enter into all You have for us that You may be glorified. Thank You for the openings/breaches that You are creating now. Right now in the realm of the spirit. I speak to things that have been blocked, tied up, and closed off concerning the visions You’ve given us, and I command openings now. I thank You in advance for the reports of how You did it, and we shall pay no attention to the gazers that stand back and say, “How did you breakthrough? How did you burst forth?” The resounding answer in heaven is Baal-Perez!

No Reason to be Ashamed!
"For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed." - Isaiah 50:7
As ministry leaders, there is simply no way we can do what God has charged us to do without his support (help). When we humble ourselves, the scripture tells us He gives us grace. This grace the scriptures speaks of is the divine enabling to perform His tasks as His ambassadors. It is not by our power or might that we lead for Him, but it by His Spirit. We are to follow the Spirit of God wherever He leads us. I'm reminded of Luke 4:1 where it says Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Spirit of God. Leader let God ask you through me, "What wilderness is the Spirit of God driving you into?" "Are you humble enough to yield to this driving?" "Are you willing to keep in step with His spirit as Galatians 5:25 commands us?"
The Hebrew word for flint in this passage of scripture means hard rock, hard stone, to be healthy, to be strong. This tells me our face has to be set as a hard stone in order to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ. You cannot be soft or have a soft face so to speak. A leader with a soft face turns away from things like confronting sin, speaking up for what is right, making tough decisions the Godly way. Leading is not for wimps! If you are soft, you will be ashamed. The demons, imps, the world, and even your own flesh will cause you to be disappointed and disconcerted. These enemies of ours will cause us to delay experiencing the fullness of Christ's ministry. Surely, they will put us to shame.
Oh, but when we follow His spirit, we shall not be disappointed, disconcerted, experience any delays, or be put to shame! So, set your face like flint leader of the Most High God and be and do all He's challenged, called, and equipped you for.
I close by letting you know you are in good company. My face is set like flint and so was Jesus'.

Are you a pupil, leader?
Keep and guard me as the pupil of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings. – Psalm 17:8 AMP
There is keeping power in being a pupil! If you are a leader who is always teaching others, “Who teaches you?” Do you even realize your need for a teacher?
As many of you know, I’m a Christian Leadership Coach (amongst other things – smile), and in the field of coaching a client who is unwilling to accept growth challenges, assignments, and push pass their own limitations would be referred to as uncoachable. What coach could really empower such a person to soar in greatness? The same is true when it comes to being taught. So, I challenge you with this post to examine your life and see what area(s) you haven’t adopted the pupil mindset. Once identified, pray Psalm 17:8, and ask God to make you the pupil of His eye that you may be kept from sin. Ask Him for the grace to not be one who teaches and preaches to everyone else, but you yourself are a castaway. Ask Him to guard and shield you from your own pride, and impart the necessary humility to be a pupil.
Now, don’t be surprised when/if someone appears and starts teaching on the very area(s) you identified. Additionally, don’t be taken aback when situations come up in those area(s) to assess if you are truly learning and remaining teachable. You asked God to keep you as the pupil of His eye, and He is doing just that. Isn’t He faithful? Now, if you are not willing to flex, change, and be mobile in the spirit, don’t accept this challenge and pray this prayer. Just acknowledge that right now you can’t be taught concerning these areas of weaknesses. This does not mean that you can’t adopt the pupil posture. You can . . . it’s simply a matter of choice and yielding to His divine instruction.
In the Merriam Webster dictionary pupil is defined as one who has been taught or influenced by a famous or distinguished person. As children of the Most High God, He is this distinguished being who teaches and influences us. Are you a pupil, leader?
