[Gem News] 9/2009 Where is the Fruit of My Labor? (Part I)
In this two-part issue we laid the foundation by exposing false ministry motives, establishing the true meaning of labor, grounding our expectations of "satisfaction" in ministry. Tell us,
1) How did the issue impact you to pursue the importance and priority of true travailing prayer?
2) How many times have you been poured out like a drink offering only to be left asking, "Where is the fruit of my labor?"
3) What did God impress upon your heart in this issue?

[Gem News]: 8/2009 "Christian Business Faux Pas: These Things Should Not Be!"
Lately, I’ve run across such poor Christian business service it has left me saying, “These things should not be, Christian business and ministry leaders.” This month we cover four “these should not be” points. To encourage interaction, solidify the heart of the message in the newsletter, and stimulate growth, turn to Proverbs 26:10 and then post what you believe God is saying in this passage scripture relative to this month’s topic.

How is it Demons Know Jesus and We don't?
This was Apostle Stanley's morning sermon. On his way out the door to work at 7:15 am this morning. He started to prophetically preach. As is the custom in our house, I've learned to record it . . . either by turning on the tape recorder or by taking notes. I choose to take notes this morning. I share them with you as they blessed me tremendously, and I believe they will bless you also.
How is it demons know Jesus and we don't? Demons know Jesus when he shows up, and we can't discern when He does. Demons give up when Jesus shows up.
Matthew 8:29-31 KJV
29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
Note: The demons cried out, they knew Jesus arrived, and discerned the purpose of His arrival. They even asked permission on where to be cast out (i.e., the swine).
What devils are crying out when you show up? How many devils are able to discern the purpose of your arrival? What about asking your permission on where to be cast out?
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 KJV
Unless they have your name on the tip of their tongue, you better beware. We often say, "buyer beware." No, "believer beware!"
We often flaunt what we perceive to be discernment. Demons have demonic discernment to see who you are and what you got.
It is time to really discern if Jesus is showing up; because the demons truly know whether He is or not. So, the next time you want to bellow out, He is here or Jesus is in this place remember this: How is it Demons Know Jesus and We don't?

[Gem News] 7/2009: Unlocking a Key to Healing - Pt. 2
Kingdom greetings,
This month we continue in the series on unlocking an overlooked key to healing. We discovered it is our mouth. Jesus said, "It is not what goes in the body that defiles it." It is what comes out of the body (the mouth) that can prevent healing. The topic of the tongue harming us isn't new and has been covered from many angles. So, tell us how did they way we delve into it catapult you into a new vein of healing?

What Are You . . . A Business Or A Ministry?
If you are going to run your ministry as a business, then at least be professional. If you are going to run it as a ministry, then at least manifest love, consideration, kindness, and the fruit of the spirit. I’m confused, you are not acting like a ministry or a business. What are you? A mess is what you are. You’ll most likely not agree and will say, “I am a ministry or I am a business.” You actions are telling me differently. You actions tell me you don’t know who you are, and that’s the problem.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways! – James 1:8 KJV
